National Geographic Nature Photographer Competition - the most breathtaking entries so far
The race is nearly over to find the photos "that showcase the awe-inspiring and diverse natural world around us".
Entries for the National Geographic Nature Photographer competition close on 4 November.
A number of spectacular pictures have already been entered into the competition, showing some of nature’s most epic moments.
Beautiful landscapes, wild environments and dramatic wildlife shots all feature among the best entries.
The winner will receive a 10-day trip for two to the Galápagos with National Geographic Expeditions and two 15-minute image portfolio reviews with National Geographic photo editors.
