It is one of the medicines that are safe to take with ulcers and can help, yes. I do not think they go away on their own? But I do not know. There is prescription medicine for it and if the ulcers are caused by the H. pylori bacteria then you only need to take them for a certain period of time and they will likely not come back. If they're caused by stress, which is less common than people think, then they are liable to come back and if they do you probably need to stay on it, unfortunately :(
