Marvel.com: The Ultimates have been anointed heralds of Galactus as the book begins. How does that affect their abilities and, more importantly, their personalities? Al Ewing: They’ll get a significant boost when they need it, but essentially the full herald power needs to be reserved for herald business. But they’re still the same people—although there’s one character who gets the full dose of herald power, which definitely alters their psychological makeup a little. But I won’t spoil who that is just yet—that’s in ULTIMATES #12, which I think is yet to hit stands. Marvel.com: Coming out of Civil War II, one would presume there have been some after effects in terms of team unity and cohesion. How different will the vibe and interactions of the team feel? AL Ewing: Carol isn’t fully on board to start with, especially with T’Challa. She’s patched up her differences with some of the others, but what Black Panther did is hard to forget, and hard to forgive. There’s a lot of learning to trust each other again.
