Ultimate End #5
Pride Month’s LGBTQ Character of the Day: Ultimate Jessica Drew
In Earth 1610 a.k.a. the Ultimate Universe, where superheroes are reimagined as if they first appeared in early 00′s, Jessica Drew is a female clone of Peter Parker. She first appeared in Ultimate Clone Saga arc in Ultimate Spider-Man #98-105 and later returned in that book’s final arc in #129-133. She popped up few times in the sequel Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, issues #4-5, #16-18, #25-28, #200, where she mentors Miles Morales as new Spider-Man, and in Ultimate Comics Ultimates issues #3, #5, #8-9, #16-18.
She also appears in minor roles in miniseries Ultimate Enemy, Ultimate Mystery, Ultimate Doom, Cataclysm: The Ultimates Last Stand and Cataclysm: Ultimate Spider-Man
It is, however, her role as a series regular in All-New Ultimates where Jessica, now changing her codename from Spider-Woman to Black Widow, admits still figuring out being a female clone of a man and among other things admits being gay. After that, she would team-up with fellow Spider-Man clones from other Universes in Spider-Verse miniseries Scarlet Spiders and have again a minor role in the final story of Ultimate Universe in Ultimate End. Except for a wordless cameo at the end of Spider-Men II, the character had not been seen ever since.
