Ultraworld: rather reminds me of the Metamorph in Gandahar. Cool scifi concept, cool sets, very enjoyable episode. I wish Vila wasn't being written as an idiot again (word games and humour take intelligence too!) but we can't have everything. At least he got to save the day.
Moloch: surprisingly bearable compared to the previous Ben Steed episode.At least the rapey misogynists are clearly evil here and Servalan isn't wildly out of character so far. (Low bar I know). Oh and she kills them.Good.

Doran isn't a bad character actually. Outwardly affable with a whole lot of awfulness lurking just beneath the surface, and you can easily guess what he's probably in prison for.Unfortunately they never quite let Vila come 'round to that realization (at least not visibly) so that storyline falls flat.
Minor female characters suffer. No surprise here.
Distrust of technology and computers seems to be a theme with this writer so far.
