I don’t understand people who say that Sansa was hypocritical for wanting to assign new owners to the places the Karstarks and Umbers have possession or that out of all the people, she shouldn’t be doing such a decision considering all the abuse she was suffered in the hands of the Lannisters who stripped her family of their titles and lands and kept her as a political hostage. Look, the problem with Sansa’s situation was the fact that she was physically and mentally abused by the Lannisters and that her parents and her brothers crimes weren’t exactly ‘’crimes’’. On the other hand, the Karstarks and the Umbers would be treated accordingly and their crimes of the kids parents were actual substantial crimes. It’s like in our world. If your parents don’t pay their debts for their houses, the whole family will be kicked out. This is how you establish a system, you punish these who don’t follow the rules and you give to these who did. If you don’t do that, people will constantly do things wrong, as there is no consequence for it, and people would be less lenient to do the right thing because there would be no reward for it. The Lannisters were evil to her not because she wasn’t allowed to be queen anymore or because her family lost their seat, they were evil to her because they literally abused her, unfairly killed her family members and kept her as a prisoner.
Sometimes, we see stats as just numbers and forget what they’re truly telling us. The stats we see are a culmination of people’s online behaviours, from how they read your pieces, what headlines capture their attention, etc.
