Holding her hand firmly, the boy could feel the tenseness of her fingers and the torment that exuded from them. He loved it. It was not actually that long ago that Dio had completed his first waltz lessons. Since then, he had improved significantly and awaited the chance to put them to proper use. This would be his first official dance on the ballroom floor, and what a coincidence that Erina Pendleton would be his first dance partner.
One, two, three. Dio gave his head a tilt while trying to keep good posture. One, two three. He spoke in a quiet voice that was just above a whisper.
“Your dance moves are amazing, Erina.” One, two, three. “But something doesn’t sit right with me for some reason.” One, two, three. “I feel like since we began I have yet to see you smile once.” One, two, three. “Isn’t that improper for a lady?” He grinned.
