i think my opinion on peter not stopping harrison when he saw the man essentially torturing flash in high school... is that.... yeah it is weird that spider-man wouldn’t stop that but also that at that point... peter was still like... in high school and when you’re young, even if you’re spider-man, adults seem like they’re supposed to know what’s right and wrong and peter grew up with such moral, kind people raising him that, i feel like... it would be scary for a teenager to see that, even with spider-powers

like

oh, you know you can totally take him but he’s an Adult and you’re not (or maybe you legally are, but barely) and there’s this kid who you think of as so tough but he’s so small there, and you don’t know what to do, and you’re just a kid too, really, so you panic and you leave and try not to think about it because you’re like 17 or 18 and inexperienced at superheroing, and so on and so forth

but also peter’s impulsiveness says to me he probably would have intervened anyway.

i can see it, or i suppose, explain why it could happen even if that was never technically stated, but it does still feel a little ooc for him to not just bust in and kick harrison in the face
