Physics
If you ever take this damn class, you should have like six tutors on deck. Physics is so freaking hard man, i wish i could just pull a B out of this class but that seem crazy. I don't know how people pass this class with anything higher than a C.
In the past 3 days I have been accused by students of:
being unfair
being unjust
expecting PhD level work from undergrads
accusing an honest person who just made an "honest mistake"
All because I caught 2 people plagiarizing - from the TEXTBOOK - in a written assignment.
The added problem is that I feel bad. I want my students to do well, to succeed. When I have to deal with these situations it tears me up inside. Then when they lash out at me they only make it worse.
When I wake up in the morning and check my email I consider myself blessed if there are no new emails from students with a list of excuses for lack of work. Since some of my teaching load is for online classes, I am rarely so blessed. Far too many online students consider education a right and not a privilege they need to put a lot of work into.
I will be at this fucking school for a whole extra year because my fucking advisors suck ass. I even tried to find a way to change my major so I could be done early because I just want to go to pratt and live in manhattan and meet my husband and have a career and be happy. God dammit. Is that too much to ask?
