Just discovered the moment Connor turned gay, it's all Hannah's fault! You flipped him around Hannah! :p (x)
I bet you if I make a lot of noise, you'd hear silence better.

(while on the bus I decided to document some of the interaction & actions I took from check point to check point. I traveled on 5 different megabuses. Oklahoma City to Dallas. Dallas to Arkansas. Arkansas to Memphis. Memphis to Knoxville. Knoxville to...)
Boarding the bus from OKC to Dallas
She had a smile. I showed her my phone, which captured the ticket number for my journey. Head nod, not too many words. “Can you lift your bag?” she utters in almost one word. Words pushed together, as compact as my suitcase was packed. Tight. It was heavy. She, in the back of the cargo portion of the double decker bus, helped me shove the bag back. I turned around; my mother had shoved another scarf into my bag. Scarfs are a favorite fall accessory of mine and believe me I had a few in my bag. It had been perched in the back car window for days, which I secretly wouldn’t have minded leaving there. She had lifted the heavy bag, which was now upright next to the bus and me. “I could have gotten that,” I a smiled response. I moved closer to the car and hugged her goodbye. The cargo attendant spotted the small yorki Chihuahua mix perched in the back window of my car. She smiled and gleamed over Nora, my little friend I was leaving behind. I grabbed yet another bag and left. I carved out a space for myself on the second level in the very front of the bus. I could see straight ahead, only glass was separating I from the road. I quickly exited the bus and grabbed my sister’s hand and told her I would miss her.
Upon meeting a random dude from New York
Him: I come from West New York where there is an absence of colored people. It's amazing how many there are here.
Me: Is it liberal like the rest of New York?
Him: They have a lot of higher education there so people tend to lean left.
