I was (and still am) behind on just about everything I’m watching right now and struggling to keep up, which is one reason I haven’t posted as much as I said I would. But here we are at the end. I made it!
First, here are some thoughts I’ve collected over E5-16:
YOON HYUN MIN
Lee Jae Yoon's cameo was great.
Broken statue penises are a thing.
The whole age gap thing is getting old. You're both adults. Get over it.
Can we just not do the whole ex-boyfriend thing? Please?
Seriously, the old boyfriend thing almost ruins it for me; I admit I skipped around a lot when he showed up.
Yoon Hyun Min is so beautiful.
Park Seo Joon is so beautiful.
Cute stuff :)
Ddeokbokki kiss!!
She has to move to England?...I am tired of this whole "moving away for work and coming back later" trope. Especially when there's already a significant age gap. Fast-forwarding in time is okay, but not for the whole work thing. We’ve seen the characters grow throughout the whole drama, we don’t need any behind-the-scenes changes that the writers couldn’t find a better way to write into the drama. (I know it’s in the twdrama, but my point still stands.)
I LOVE IT WHEN YOON HYUN MIN SINGS (example here)
Aw, the bloopers at the end were cute :)
Park Seo Joon, I'll see you again in December.
Yoon Hyun Min, come back to me. Get a lead role in a shorter drama.
Overall:
It was a cute drama. I got annoyed at the ex-boyfriend story line. Aren’t there enough struggles dealing with the age gap? It seems like something more fitting for a rom-com between two leads who are closer in age. I feel like it weighed down the drama quite a bit.
Favorite Characters:
I think any characters Park Seo Joon and Yoon Hyun Min ever play will be good for me, unless they suck (please, don’t ever suck). Soo Chul came off as a bit of an ass at first, but he got better; Dong Ha was always lovable, wasn’t he?
Being matched with @undrama:
Overall, I think it went pretty well. I still want to watch the other two recommendations, so I’m pleased with the match. I’d definitely take another recommendation :)
