       a FLUSH creeps up the edge of delilah’s cheeks as the purple sparks fade from her fingertips. perhaps she had gotten a bit ahead of herself. she just finds sylas easy to talk to. most people in her life don’t listen to her talk about her work. even her colleagues view her as more OBSESSIVE than most of them, working far into the night when the rest of them have put their books down to get some much needed leisure time. ❝ right. my apologies. it’s just been a long time since somebody’s listened to me go on for so long... i suppose i got carried away. ❞

       BRIGHT EYES lift to take in his features, and delilah will admit she’s more than a little smitten. there’s a warmth to him, a sort of empathetic stillness that she’s not used to from the people in her life, especially men. ❝ what do you normally do on your first dates then ? ❞

       THE JOLT, THE CHILL on your skin you feel when you are caught.  however, it doesn’t settle but rather it bursts into a sudden rush of heat; excitement, adrenaline.  she was going to be cleaning classrooms until she was eighty -- don’t ask how, with the power a class president had and she wouldn’t put it past her -- she didn’t stop, she didn’t turn to face NIIJIMA to take the thousandth scolding for her late appearance for class, classic oversleeping.  a gust of wind as she sprints past the third-year who was carrying a stack of papers that a few get swept up in her haste to make it to her homeroom, which earns an annoyed sound followed by the realization of who it was running past her.

           SAURA can’t help but call back cheekily, making a quick pivot on her feet to toss the words back like she was tossing a ball before has to literally hop with momentum around a corner and she disappears.

        ❝  –  y -- yeah... ❞ CANCELLED. the word lit up over the train times, and again... and again, the crash back in APRIL appeared to have still had grievious affects despite the fast repair... some things just couldn't be cleaned up overnight. from next to her, she hears the prosecutor sigh irritably, from the corner of eye she sees her pinch the bridge of her nose -- delays like this were devastating to someone with a job as important as hers, she ponders her own future briefly, in years time she would be in sae's very shoes and because of that, she finds herself relishing her youth. and she keeps that to herself from the already annoyed niijima. SAURA reaches up to scratch the back of her neck apprehensively, the words sat on the tip of her tongue but was a little too nervous to make the jump -- afraid of irrating the woman further, after all.. she wasn't the one with the place she needed to be.

        ❝  –  do... do you like manjū? ❞ she attempts, turning her head toward niijima who she takes over in height.      ❝  –  since we now have time, there's this coffee place that makes the best sweets to go with your coffee... ❞ where was she going with this, she was an important lady in the police force, a woman who decided swayed the very scales of justice; why would she want to waste time having coffee with a high schooler? at her own catch, she feels her face get a bit red and sheepishly buries her hands in her pant pockets, like a turtle retreating into it's shell.
