During the production process i implemented many of the skills of a stage manager. At the beginning i started by making a prop list from the script, then continued by sourcing the props for the prop store. During this process we have used a lot of skills that a stage manager would use a lot e.g. communication patience and planning. If i wasn't to use these my work would end up being very unorganized and some of it could even be dangerous. i also had to make sure the actors were in on time, i had to make sure the actors were in blacks and warmed up by the time directors were on the floor, and if any were absent then i would have to call them up to find out why they aren't in on time.if i wasn't working on my own i would have to go between team to tell whats going on and whats needed for what where and when. i was also in charge of moving the equipment for the shows, so i would have to have lists of props and equipment for the show and i would have to make sure everything was loaded up and unloaded so we didn't lose anything.i was also in charge of rigging plotting and focusing for the show. obviously in a larger scale theater they would of had a lighting designer doing that but because we ere operating as a small scale company i did it all. because it was a small scale company they only have two technicians that did everything. if it was a medium scale theatre then then we would of had team to work on each department and in a large scale they could even have more than one person for each job.

Show report for first show
The show went well with very positive feedback from the kids and adults. There were no problems during the shows for sound or lighting but unfortunately during some of the scenes the actors were out of light, so during the show my lighting designer had to leave his desk to refocus to try and get them in light. But apart from that the show went very well.
Show report for the second show
Once again the show went well, we have a very reactive audience this time. We had no problems from lighting, to make sure we got the actors in light this time we took a longer time focusing and making sure we could see them. But unfortunately one of the speak stopped working during beginners, so we had to go over to it and try to get it to work, in the end we found out that if we keep the jack half way out that it works, so we had to use that for the show. A few cues went wrong for the sound team as well, because the cue line wasn’t given during the scene where Billy and Baxter are trying to get the keys from the tree. And the other one was when Mr Stickwicket carried on talking over his intro and made the reveal music sounded a bit off time. But apart from that i think it went well if not better than the first.
Show report for third show
The show went very well, at the end of the show the audience gave it a standing ovation. Unfortunately we lost one of our main charators two days before the show, so we got another actor to do it the day before, and he had to drop out, so we got another actor on the day. He ended up having to use his script on stage but he still did extremely well. On a technical stand point the show when very well. We rigged, focused, plotted, cued and rehearsed it all in one day. We had one sound cue for the second stick wicket reveal didn’t go. And there was one lighting cue at the end that went to quick, but apart from that it went amazingly.
