sky palette
Talking about yourself is always somewhat difficult, as simple as the questions may seem. And the situation is the same for Jongin. Specially because he doesn't usually like to reflect about himself in a serious way, but there's something he finds easy to reach in his mind, although it doesn't mean he'll tell to just anyone.
He was just on a road trip with his family. A long one, in which he couldn't help but fall asleep. And, when he woke up, late afternoon, his family wasn't chatting anymore. His father was focused on the road, his sister playing some games on her gameboy, and his mom, looking at the window of her side of the car. The mood inside the vehicle and his sleepiness helped him realize how the colors in the sky amazed him. In between some clouds there were so many shades of blue, purple, pink, orange, yellow, red and orange. After that, thinking about what was his favourite colour was meaningless to him. Who said we're supposed to choose just one? What's the fun in just one colour?
From that until now, when he’s outside, the sky’s what entertains him the most. How the blue isn't toned the same way every time, but mostly, the shades changing near sunset to early evening. Every time he gets to watch this transition, he realises how it's one of the things that reminds him of how the world can be beautiful. So, no, it wasn't the moment when he learned this about himself that makes it precious, but the feelings he never lost regarding the colours in the sky. Even when there's a particular shade of red, nearing the blood he's unfortunately so used to, he's not really bothered by that nor tries too hard to think about something else. Jongin's easily distracted by the palette above him, the way it's never the same and how the colors blend with themselves, another thing he loves about the sky.
