Here look another cat from a group I’m in on dA she’s pretty cute

He is doing okay. Forcing me to take showers constantly because his love is intense! (Can’t risk contamination to the other cats of the house)

Big grey kitty is fine. We just scared the bejesus out of each other in the kitchen. I feel bad for scaring him, although I wasn’t exactly walking quietly. I just wanted to return my plate! If I’d known he was there I’d have waited!!

He does not have the trick of running on tile yet. He also barely fits through the cat door. The results of him attempting to round the corner to the hall and dive through the cat door at speed were probably predictable, but no less hilarious. Even if I also feel bad for laughing at him.

Cat mortality

Grey kitty may have been hit by a car. My stepdad saw a dead cat in the road at the end of the street, but Animal Control got there before I could go see if it was him. We haven't seen him since, but it's only been about 20 hours.

Kita is fine. Still mad at me, but fine.

And we have another grey kitty! This one is slightly smaller than Kita, and solid grey, but otherwise looks exactly like her. She sat in the cat door and talked to me for a while this morning. She even sounds like Kita! I'm wondering if this is Kita's sister or maybe even daughter. Given that she sat and talked to me, I'm hoping she'll become friendly soon.

Grey kitty has figured out lines of sight and will not approach within six feet (although it's getting shorter by the day) if he thinks you can see him.

However, he has not figured out that he has ears and a tail.

Mom thinks grey kitty was abandoned by someone.

Anyone wanna take bets on us ending up with two cats? 😅 I'm giving it about 40% for, 60% against, but that could flip if he and Kita make friends (they're currently a bit standoffish).

(We're definitely going to keep feeding him with an eye towards maybe finding him another home, so I suppose in a legal sense we have two cats now. This is how we were gotten by Kita…)
