that sorey/inigo stuff is really good > w > im diggin' it. ive been stalking im sorry. so, how would sorey react if inigo were to sacrifice himself just so he could protect sorey from danger? cc:
he’d never forgive himself.
undoubtedly, sorey carries a lot with him. in his early awakening verse, he obviously hasn’t taken on the entire world as a burden so we can safely say there’s less pressure involved. even so, he still retains that natural empathy and obligation he feels toward every person he meets. sorey is someone who invests easily, and it goes even further when he’s close to someone. in the versions of the verses i’ve written with sorey/inigo as a ship, he obviously prioritizes and cares about him more than anything. more than his own wellbeing, more than ruin exploring, more than what he can do for their future, etc.
as a tactician who should be someone that thinks things through, and predict the worst of dangerous situations ahead of time, he’d blame himself completely. he treasures inigo’s life so much, and wants nothing more than to make him smile / to help save the realms and go along with him wherever they need to.
if he blatantly sacrificed himself for sorey’s sake… i can only imagine the horrified reaction he’d have. it’d definitely be something he could never move forward from, not quite the way he should. of course, he’d want to make inigo’s last moments warm ones, and something safe where he wouldn’t have to worry about him, so he’d try to be brave and hold things together in the meantime. would absolutely cry over his chest, hold him still, the works…
and though i think he would want to be strong for inigo and move forward to create the future that he would have deserved, he’d never forget.
