Cue staring. She'd heard mentions of angels healing quickly, but this was the first time she'd seen that happen. "Okay... Why would they be shooting you in the first place? It's a little hard to mistake a human for a game animal, isn't it?" No one had explained to her about hunters yet.
He blinked a few times at her, tilting his head to the side as he made the arrows vanish.
"These weren't hunters that go after animals," he said slowly.
He paused, raising an eyebrow at her.
"--Has no one told you about the hunters that try to kill non-humans?"
"That sounds painful."
He shrugged, not even wincing as he yanked out another arrow from his chest.
"It was not made with the blade of an angel's sword, so it did not hurt," he replied easily, tapping his foot almost impatiently as his chest healed over.
"--I believe the hunters did not know I was an angel."
He looked back at her and made the bloodied arrows disappear. He resisted the urge to shrug again (a human habit he'd picked up from Adam), and instead chose to slide a polite smile into place on his face.
"Hi, Michael." She seemed to be in a pretty upbeat mood at the moment.
"Hello to you as well," he greeted, nodding his head in what he assumed to be a welcoming gesture and smiling faintly.
"Is there something you require from me?"
She winced. "I see..." It still sounded rather unpleasant, even if it had a known cause. "You're welcome. If you ever need anything, feel free to ask me, alright?" Eventually, she probably should mention being an angel. After all, she imagined being a prophet was supposed to be a secret and he'd told her.
"Thanks, but I'm trying to keep my dependency on a minimum." he smiled, "Do you want something to drink?"
"You are?" Shana immediately looks worried. "Is there anything I can get you that might help?"
He rubbed his forehead, "I've dealt with it for a long time, so there's really...nothing you can do. Comes with being a prophet... thanks though." he smiled.
She fidgets with her bracelets a little. "Ah, hello. I know it's been a really long time... Have you been well, Chuck?"
"I've been having some really terrible nightmares, you know. The usual."
