It had taken a few days before Oliver found the courage and mental strength to find himself knocking on her front door. When everything had fallen apart, Oliver was certain that Tara would stand by his side. However, she disappeared and Oliver didn’t blame her, not after learning about her past and what she’d been through. Even if they saw each other a time or two when he was in prison, it was more than he saw some other people. And standing in front of the door, Oliver wasn’t sure he’d made the right decision.
Not that it mattered at this point considering that the door opened and he was face to face with Tara. “Hey…” Oliver greeted, wondering if Tara felt as helpless as he did right now. “Can I come in?”
