I passed all my assessments and I get to graduate, woo! :D I'm going to reward myself with a trip to the aquarium before I think too deeply about the job application process.

I attempted to dye my hair pink but it didn't actually do anything? Its still drying some maybe there's some highlights. I've never had anything less than too much colour when dyeing so maybe its the fact its a pastel rather than a bright? Thinking of changing my fursona; front runners for species are unicorn or a lioness. I'll probably make a bunch of designs, use none of them and just keep my current one that I've had for over ten years now (lol). Work is okay, progressing along with some smaller stuff with larger stuff being slowly chipped at. Only got two maybe three new things for next con, still lots of mixed feelings about it despite the last one being overwhelmingly positive. Its entering the holiday season soon, so I've been lining up a bunch of distractions to keep from ruminating as its the worst month for myself mental health wise.

I still need to paint eyes, brows, lips and clean up the bases but I'm out of holiday time so that will have to wait.

The minis can live in my shrine until then :D

I beat honour mode last night! And it was super stressful. I didn't use Gale for the quick and easy ending. I've completed the game multiple times with the honour mode ruleset but not the fuckery that comes with the single save rule(s). There were a few places that I would've appreciated reloading the game to clear some buggy animations and such. I'm going to take a break from the game and try out Clair Obscura: Expedition 33 (sp?). It boggles the mind that I've been playing Baldur's Gate 3 on and off for two years. Additional thoughts and builds below the cut. Obvious spoilers ahead.

Some memorable things about this run: Getting to level three mostly through exploration then doing the fights. Nere/Dwarf slavers fight wasn't too bad. Only one party member got pushed into the lava and they were able to jump out. Inquisitor W'Wargaz. I under prepared for this fight 'cause I've never had any issues with it before and nearly wiped. Some tiny square of terrain that locked Astarion in place unable to do anything. I had to use a strength potion to pick him up and throw him - this was in the underground cavern after I had successfully stealth-ed past all the intellect devourers around the pools. Isobel fight with Marcus. Again, I've never had issues with this fight so didn't prepare as much as I should've. She lived thankfully. I really thought Ansur would be more of a scary fight? But I had the sphere of no damage plus lighting resist potions so I probably prepared enough for it to be no issue. I played as a Durge and prior to long resting in act 2 I'd swap out as much of my gear for +death saving throws and that initial roll to spare your loved one was easy. I got the stupid 99 difficulty roll to dominate the brain on the first throw which helpfully took off a chunk of the Netherbrain's health.

Roleplay wise I stayed very Good aligned. I lost Alfira to the Durge cutscene, a bunch of Gondians (one in the Iron Throne and a handful in the factory) and the Owl Bear cub in the final fight (I didn't realize he had gotten burned by the dragon). I nearly lost Lae'zel in the Creche due to bad rolls but managed to keep her on the very last point of inspiration. I thought I'd be punished more for not having a Charisma based face of the party but I did stay away from any of the Act 2: Kill yourself rolls instead just abusing the surprise round. I used Astarion for buying stuff and robbed the shit out of Rolan's projection in Act 3 for chain lightning and oitsuke's sphere of resistance scrolls, as well as general income. The last fight Atop the Netherbrain was a bit of a slog to get into the portal. Between summoning all the allies, a shit ton of summons and all the enemies and such it took awhile. All in all, I'm glad I did it because in future I'm going to go back to my usual Honour Mode Ruleset but with reduced prices and camp resources as I don't need that stress in my life again. Party comp: Leodh: Human Durge | Battlemaster Fighter 6 / Gloomstalker Ranger 3 / Assassin Rogue 3 - Legendary Rapier/Crit Build I probably should've respec'd his Fighter levels to champion but I was critting enough by the end it wouldn't have made that much of a difference. Shadowheart: Light Cleric - Radiant Orb/Reverb build Astarion: College of Swords Bard - Dual wielding crossbow build Halsin: Circle of the Moon Druid - Healing gear/Tavern Brawler build I had Karlach as a Giant Barbarian throw/Tavern Brawler Barbarian until I got Halsin.

Its been awhile since I've done one of these; please enjoy a stream of brief consciousness presented at dot points I am currently job searching which sucks a lot (I expected it and I still hate it) I had to make a LinkedIn account and I feel dirty I might get into a local convention as a dealer will find out August I'm currently wrapping up a fanfic. I'll post a link when its done here (its for Project Hail Mary). Maybe it'll give me motivation to finish one of my billion and one other WIPs although there's stuff in that folder that's super old now (voltron, anyone?) and should probably be deleted I'm currently bouncing between my hobbies and doing daily walks to keep my mental health up (job searching really fucking sucks)

It took a few months but Project Hail Mary has now officially dethroned my Baldur's Gate 3 obsession.

Heads up that my art (apart from art fight) and even more of my queue is largely going to feature characters from the former.

I did a screenshot study yesterday and it was a real challenge to draw Ryan Gosling's stupid face. I'm determined to get better at it which means spending more time staring at it.

Final assessments all submitted, I am now just awaiting results then I can graduate. Yay. I've largely been doing nothing except recovering from stress and light work duties but my energy is coming back. I managed some art yesterday and will post it up soon!

I'm currently getting eaten alive by study, assessments, the last semester of study and the looming mountain of applying for jobs/interviewing ect~ I am hopeful that things will stabilize in a month but don't have much energy to do much except the aforementioned, so enjoy reblogs and whatnot til then :)
