Truth be told, Antlia wasn’t really sure what she was doing in the library. Sure it was nice and cold in here in contrast to the blistering heat outside. It was so rare for her to ever even step foot in the smaller library in the school, but this building? She had only ever stepped foot in here twice before, never willingly, unlike this time. The interior was actually kind of cute, paper bats were hanging between bookshelves and pumpkins of various sizes were scattered around. The building was certainly decorated from the top to bottom with fall and Halloween accessories. She hadn’t really paid attention to where she sat down at, nor to who was around when she did. It wasn’t until she overheard the lyrics to the song softly playing overhead that she found herself turning to the closest person to voice her opinion.
“ So, you believe in ghosts huh? I suppose it is nice to imagine that there is a possibility of returning one day or to think that loved ones could be watching over you. You know, I think having an old pet haunt you would be pretty nice, like constantly having your best friend around? “
The eldest Bower’s daughter leaned against the arm of her chair as she listened to the man’s remarks. Flowers of snow and ice observed the shy behavior, peach-colored lips curling up into an amused grin as slender digits gently touched her lower lip, chin resting against her palm. Sure she used to believe in ghosts and aliens and all of the other cryptids, but back then things were a lot different for her. The harshness of her reality hadn’t fully developed.
Teeth caught her lower lip as she tried to suppress a laugh. The keyword being TRIED. Partially successful she ended up letting a giggle escape, he was quite a charming person, she was rather amazed that she hadn’t run into him sooner. Antlia paused for a moment, shaking herself from her thoughts. Glacial hues shifted to the floor, something was bugging her a bit. Had she seen him around before? His face seemed ever so slightly familiar but she couldn’t seem to place a name to him.
“ I hate to change the topic so suddenly stud, but I don’t think I know your name. I don’t think I’d forget such a looker. “ The words left her lips in a silken, light-hearted tone as she offered him a subtle wink.
