well he doesn't know with which sheyd the treats will end up with but "....demons have sensitive tummies, don't throw in nonsense." he can feel things pass through his shadow, ritsu!

a rumbling stomach and the sub sequential need for donuts drives vash from the desert road into a nearby town. he's lost the girls a while ago ( read, he ran away from their cameras ) and had been traveling by himself since - it feels strange, he has gotten used to the company of someone else, the knowledge that he got vash back, no matter what.

...vash has been doing his best not to think too hard about wolfwood, worrying that the grief might fully consume him. a hand brushes back his now black hair, a reminder that he had to at least stick around for a bit longer - for meryl and milly at least. besides, with some new people arriving on the planet he had to admit that he got curious, especially hearing that they had some independents on their side too.

shaking his head vash tries to dispel any lingering thoughts: eyes on the prize, stampede ! he needs some food. he turns towards a tavern and walks towards it, tilting his head when he can hear bickering from inside - one of the voices sounds familiar ( too familiar, achingly so, he knows, he knows he cannot hear that voice again... maybe he had thought too much about the priest and now he did reach his limts? ).

vash wants to turn around and walk somewhere else, away from this voice because he does not want to face the disappointment but another part of him cannot stop walking and erelong he already opens the swing-doors ...only to find his world come to an absolute halt. his brain looks at an impossibility ( or a miracle )

Ashe-lin made her way through the ballroom, doing her best to create conversation as well as a good first impression. Being that she was born of a royal heritage- first impressions meant everything. Down to the start of an Ally or a future war. Now of course here the only threat to a bad first impression was a bad comment or two from a family dinner but still...she couldn’t simply push away her upbringing.

She finally ended to the side of the ballroom of which you could see the dancing in full view. Wow...so many people. She felt ashamed that she didn't have a partner to dance with, but on the same token...she did love to watch. Her mind got lost in the music like a lullaby and the laughing and dancing feet made her feel like she was dancing herself. She could feel the vibrations of the dancers through her heels. It was...soothing.

Her mind clicked when someone came up beside her- who wasn’t dancing. She turned to look at the male- wow, so tall. It reminded her of a friend she had back home- he was about the same height.

“Hi, there~!” She spoke to him, waving slightly with a grin on her face. “Are you enjoying the party?”

Aha, is that so? Might have to do that. That certainly does give me some ideas.

ritsu's baking solomon a birthday cake! strawberry! filled with love and care and delicious fruit toppings. they're a surprisingly good baker, don't worry, and this season is the peak of their practice (and slight mania). noam also gets a cupcake because ritsu has to assume goetia would make his birthday match solomon's. ritsu has no idea what kind of flavours he likes but figured also strawberry is probably fine.

and some meat treats for the sheydim because ritsu got to the end of baking and thought "well, what if they sheydim feel left out, that would be downright rude" and really the whole thing just got out of hand. but look just let them drop a treat into romani's shadow don't worry about it. - @upboundline

...it seemed they have not gotten better about this day ever since his death as romani. did he not tell da vinci to tie them up ( in the worst case )? somehow ritsu had gotten even worse.

noam at least was happy about his cupcake, albeit a bit jealous that the other shedim got meat. he never had a sweet tooth like solomon did, though he didn't complain. just quietly mumbled something about 'i am not him. my birthday is another day, but thanks.' maybe solomon would let ritsu in on the secret of noam's birthday.

for now he stood there, cake in hand and looking quite a bit flustered. "...that's too much ritsu." just his things must have taken hours to prepare and the master did this for all the servants! but he still smiled, red cheeks and ears before leaning down to kiss ritsu's forehead.

"thank you. you'll get your valentine's gift in a few days." because really, ritsu would already receive so many sweet treats and what not today.
