FanFic: The Farkle Files
Just a quick introduction to the next update. This update will cover several chapters... The timing for all chapters is the same. They all take place during the afternoon of 12/31 as Farkle is prepping for Riley's New Year's Eve Party. I find myself in the middle of what could be the most beautiful or most heart-breaking of situations between 2 of my best friends. I find myself desperate for someone to talk to about the situation but have realized that there is no one that I trust enough to discuss this most delicate of situations with and know that they will remain unattached. Obviously, my 2 best friends are out, the other is out for reasons to be discussed. Isadora is out because I don't want her to view these people any differently. She is new to our dynamic and I don't want to taint her image of anyone. Zay is out because quite honestly he can't keep his mouth shut. While I don't think his comments are meant to be hurtful, they are just the same. I dare say that he has had some impact on the cause of this situation. Hambone told me to handle this as a scientific, psychological project. Remove the personal feelings I have for the 2 main subjects and things will become clear. That leads me to this: The Perception of Rucas: Riley Matthews & Lucas Friar. These are my subjects, these are my thoughts, this is their story. My greatest hope is that by the end of this project? Their story reads like a modern day fairytale...2 best friends, perfectly imperfect on their own but perfect together, overcome the damaging effects of Perception. If that is not their story? I fear it will read Rileytown & Texas: Stories from the Middle of the Madness. My first subject? Riley Matthews. ****To be continued****
My Best Friend
My dog is my best friend. I mean I made a blog for her, I’m thinking that probably signifies that I at least care deeply about her. Sometimes I feel like I can’t convey this love though, like people just don’t get it. They don’t understand that I will do anything and everything for this little ball of fur.
This week is the toughest finals week I have had to date (it’s my 5th round of finals so I’m not exactly new at this). Anyway she has been with me through it all. She comes to cuddle with me when I know she just wants to play (she still tries to bring a toy over, but usually I feel like I only have 5 minutes to spare. Everywhere I look she seems to be there, offering a calming presence when I feel like everything is falling apart.
My heart is full whenever I think of my baby girl. Words will never express this love. Next week we will be home in Minnesota. We’ll get her blood work checked and some xrays taken. Logically, I know that symptomatically she is doing great, but that doesn’t stop worry from creeping in (especially when I’m stressed). Instead I’m trying, trying to thank God that he has blessed me with this precious time with her :)
