Could you do a brown+gray+white Upper Midwest small town early winter kinda thing?
hiii, yes! here you go!
💨 Weather Today, December 11
Arctic air surges south into the Northern Plains late today and Friday; Upper Midwest this weekend...
You know you live in the upper midwest when you spend the first two days of spring break building snowmen with your kiddos.
(March 13 & 14)
"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!"
-Psalm 118:24

If you’ve thought about doing a lawn conversion to transform part of your yard into a pollinator garden full of native plants, follow along as I share my experience with landscaping a small, residential city lot into a thriving ecosystem in just 15 months. Whether you wish to rewild a small yard, turn a garden bed into a pocket prairie, or have acres of land for a full habitat restoration, I hope my journey inspires you to go for it. Instead of a boring, unused lawn, wouldn’t you rather have a healthy yard full of wildflowers, surrounded by the buzz of bees and the hum of life?
By some accounts prairies are our most endangered ecosystem in North America, with several Midwest states having already lost over 99% of original prairie land. Prairie restoration is crucial in order to help declining insect and bird populations rebound. And that can start in your yard. Creating a native pollinator garden is worth the effort, and it is a tangible way that we can help solve ecological problems right now.
I am located in the Upper Midwest, USA, zone 5.
All photos and video clips were recorded by me. All were recorded in my yard (except the video of a real prairie).
