Uranpechblende (mit hohem Tongehalt) als Füllung einer Kluft im sogenannten Lederschiefer, ein Tonschiefer aus dem oberen Ordovizium. Das Schiefergestein ist im Bereich der Uranerzfüllung gebleicht und etwas hämatitisiert. Die abgebildete Erzstufe ist ein typischer Beleg für die reicheren Erze (betriebsintern als Sorte 1 bezeichnet) im Südfeld des Uranerzbergwerkes Reust der SDAG Wismut bei Ronneburg in Thüringen.

Uranium pitch (with high clay content) as filling of a cleft in so-called leather shale, a clay shale from the upper Ordovician. The shale is bleached in the area of uranium filling and somewhat hematitized. The illustrated ore stage is a typical example of the richer ores (in-house designated as variety 1) in the southern part of the uranium ore mine Reust of the SDAG Wismut near Ronneburg in Thuringia.
