Had my first ever design showcase the other day, displaying a project I co-created with an awesome team! #urbnobjcts is a pop-up mobile shop ( and social practice performance piece) that sells items from people who have been affected by / displaced due to gentrification. Each object is tied to a story sourced from the @antievictionmap project’s oral history database. When you buy an item from our shop you recieve a receipt with a story printed on it, as well as a list of ways to combat gentrification and organizations to support. All proceeds will be donated to the @antievictionmap project! I’m very excited to continue this project, develop it more, and watch it grow.
