Seven Minutes in Heaven: Opener

(AU where all ons characters & reader are at a party. Vampires and Humans coexist but there is tension between the species as there would be in the real world.)

The two dubious Hiragis, Shinoa and Shinya, decided to throw a party to celebrate the fall (as in the season) coming to a pass. The days grew darker earlier and cold temperatures nipped at exposed skin much like the fangs of a vampire. Everyone the two knew and some they had only vaguely seen in the hallway once or twice had been invited and the rest of the Hiragi siblings had no choice but to oblige -besides, maybe a little fun could come from it? The only thing Seishiro and Kureto did not like, was the fact that vampires we're coming to. Sure some people had no problem with the bloodsuckers, some even fantasized about them, but they did not like the idea of them coming in and stealing attention meant for them or a pretty girl they liked.

When the clock on the Hiragi residence's wall struck 6pm, guests started to slowly trickle in dressed warmly in sweaters and coats.

Music blared from speakers set up in the living room and some people were brave enough to dance around them. Some played beer pong or flirted. Others sat or stood lazily sipping drinks some alcohol, some blood while talking to friends and meeting new people. By the stroke of 8pm, just about everybody knew at least the majority of names.

As the party dimmed down at 10pm, and Yoichi made preparations to leave first, he pealed back the curtains to see a violent projection of snow. Driving home in such conditions would be dangerous and scary. Upon consulting with Shinoa, it was agreed that everyone could stay the night -that would make the party even more fun and there were plenty of blankets to go around.

The music was turned off at 11pm and all the guests sat in a massive circle on the living room floor.

"Listen up everybody! We're going to play seven minutes in heaven to help keep everyone warm and pass the time. We have five closets so five partners can go at a time!" Shinoa cheered. A chorus of groans, sighs, and cheers were heard and some stayed silent and looked on with interest. "We also need to do this so we can assign who is rooming with who." The devious girl smirked.

A bag, pencil, and paper were passed around the circle. Anyone who wished to be put in the closet with a girl wrote their name down and shoved it deep into the sack.

You had never played seven minutes in heaven before and we're a little skeptical and nervous of what the outcome would be. You had only met half of the party goers and prayed that no one too forceful was put in with you. When it came to your turn to choose, you pulled out a a name whilst a light blush appeared on your face.

"Who did you pick?" Shinoa teases with a grin.
