Can/ how do wheelchair users carry cups of tea? (sincere, for work)
Hello!
I'm currently writing a TV series with a character in a wheelchair. I have a scene with him making a cup of tea, but I'm coming into a little problem….
He's supposed to take the tea into the next room, but I'm not sure on the logistics of it. Is it possible to wheel through with one hand? Do you put the tea on your lap? Do you always use a tray?
Apologies for my ignorance, I want to make sure I get a realistic vibe and my tea-wheelchair Googling is getting me nowhere.
EDIT: There's also some biscuits involved in case that changes anything.
It's a serious question, I promise.
