Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 3/4 cup packed brown sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 large eggs. 2 cups chocolate chips. 1 cup chopped nuts optional.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. In a larger bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts, if using. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
