वेनेजुएला पर अमेरिकी कार्यवाई की चर्चा इस समय चर्चा में बनी हुई है. ऐसे में वो देश ताजा घटनाक्रम पर बारिकी से नजर रख रहे हैं जो वेनेजुएला से व्यापार करते हैं. ब्राजील भी वेनेजुएला से कृषि व्यापार करता है और ब्राजील ने हाल ही के वर्षों में वेनेजुएला को चावल का निर्यात कर वेनेजुएला को अपने प्रमुख चावल निर्यात Destinations की सूची में शामिल किया है. ऐसे में वेनेजुएला में अमेरिकी अटैक से दोनों देशों के बीच व्यापार के प्रवाह में खलल पड़ने की आशंकाओं पर ब्राजील नजर रख रहा है.ब्राजील के अधिकारी इस बात पर चर्चा कर रहे हैं कि दोनो देशों के द्विपक्षीय संबंधों में कोई भी बदलाव सीधे खाद्य आपूर्ति श्रृंखलाओं को प्रभावित कर सकता है. अब ब्राजील और वेनेजुएला के बीच चावल व्यापर के आकड़ों पर नजर डाले तो वेनेजुएला ने नवंबर 2025 तक ब्राजील से लगभग 165 हजार टन धान चावल का आयात किया है. ब्राजील द्वारा निर्यात की गई चावल की ये मात्रा कुल ब्राजील के चावल उत्पादन का लगभग 13 प्रतिशत है. ब्राजील ने हाल ही के दिनों में वेनेजुएला के उन पारंपरिक निर्यातकों को पीछे छोड़ दिया है जो अभी तक वेनेजुएला को बड़ी मात्रा में चावल का निर्यात किया करते थे.
