11 recent phone firmware dumps
Apologies for the inactivity recently, but many more dumps have been made as of late!
As always, firmware dumps and corresponding JTAG pinouts are available on the Dumbphone Repo.
The following devices have been dumped: Doro: ** PhoneEasy 612 LG: ** LX1200 ** TM125 ** TM520 Qualcomm: ** 6280 F-US Reference Device Samsung: ** SGH-X427m ** SPH-A303 / Helio Heat (AB03) ** SPH-A880 ** SPH-M240 ** SPH-M520 UTStarcom: ** TXT8010 Blitz Of note is the Samsung SGH-X427m was dumped over JTAG, something that has not been tried before with the setup we have!
The Qualcomm 6280 F-US Reference Device may be the first of its kind to ever surface publicly, was very exciting to see what could be done with it. A big thank you goes out to MC4f and RareNogginStuff for sending over the majority of these devices. Keep on preserving!
Thanks to generous donations by Floomsy, the following phones now have firmware dumps online: Casio C721 Exilim (V9250T25, prototype) Nokia 6315i (D6315VEM04_0.169, D6315VEM05_3.169) Motorola V60p (8600_03.0F.00) Motorola V65p (8620_1.6A.0R) Helio Ocean (posted previously)
Lots of new discoveries and dumps have been made since the last post, so much so that I couldn't possibly fit onto one post!
Don't want to make a gigantic essay wall of text, so open the alt text on each photo to learn what all is new!
Special thanks go to wavvy01 and Clonelocker for recently lending phones to preserve, gtrxac for starting predefrepo, and everyone who's ever contributed to LPCwiki!
UTStarcom CDM-180 dumped
The UTStarcom CDM-180 has been dumped! Originally thought to have no JTAG test points present on the board, it turns out they were hidden plain in sight on the TTA-24 (TAS.KO-06.0028/R2) connector itself.
There's a very good chance this isn't the only UTStarcom phone to place the JTAG interface in the data connector itself, so testing on more models will happen whenever possible! Any and all files can be found on the Dumbphone Repo as usual.
Here are 4 of the 9 preloaded wallpapers from the UTStarcom Blitz TXT8010, which was recently dumped:
The phone is in like new condition and fully operational. | eBay!
