Uttarey-Singalila-Goechala Trek: An ancient trail to the Goecha-la pass
All those #trek enthusiasts looking forward to an #adventure packed Himalayan trek, listen up! This is your golden chance. The third largest peak Mt. #khanchendzonga tops the list of many trekkers when it’s about the high mountains of Himalays. Sure there are many different trails that will take you closer to the magnificent Khanchendzonga but, none like the one that starts off from Uttarey, #sikkim & ends at Yuksom.
This is one of the lesser known #trekking trails crossing Singalia to reach #goecha-la pass. But, it’s not for the faint hearted! It is mostly for the long high-altitude trekkers. It is a strenuous 15 days 14 nights trek. Passing through the alpine trees of the thick forest the route takes you through steep and gradual ascents. No matter how and difficult the trek might be, the summit day will justify all of it! The trek route is said to #ancient and used to be treaded only by the Yak herders in the past.
Prime highlight of this route- you start with a view of Khanchendzonga from a far distance, and finally at Goechala, the #mountain is right in front of you. Plus, the view of Lhotse, Makalu and the titanic Everest during the trek is stunning.
