breath CATCHES in fervoured lungs as dmitri attempts to regain his composure ( hands on knees, parted lips encouraging the panting of desperate breathes, gaze turned down, spine curled into a hunch ) he has lost the image of the COLOSSUS that he might once have held, perhaps not in stature, but in pride, the strength of his jaw mirrored in the tightness of his fists ; he is a boy born for war, but not for battle, and the signs of strain show heavily in his moment of exhaustion. desperation clings to his gaze, PLEADING as aegean eyes raise to find his companion, a small shake of his head giving preceding his breathless words as dmitri attempts to bargain, unwilling to give up the illusion of victory, no matter the COST.
