Felt compelled to make a meme from a TV show from the 80s. If I get any notes from anyone other than @glynnii I will be genuinely impressed.

Cultural Differences
Once again I'm shipping anything and everything I can get my gay little hands on, in this case a reptilian alien lieutenant and a dumbass human reporter. I apologize for nothing. Also this is based on my headcanon that in Visitor culture bumping heads is their version of kissing :)

“What did I just hear, Harold?”
“I was just crying,” lied Harold, as one of the kittens let out another mew. Harold, having lost his dignity a long time ago, mimicked this mew in a pathetic attempt to convince Anderson that there were, in fact, no animals in this room.
Anderson scowled. “Harold, stop. You’re embarrassing yourself.”
Harold was promptly silenced sitting stiff as cardboard, looking petrified.
Another cry broke the silence, from a different cat that wriggled its way out from under the couch. The two men watched the patchy, wiry little thing stagger to the center of the room. It looked absolutely filthy.
“That’s–” Harold found himself struggling to speak. “I didn’t know about that one.”
Anderson, after a tense, awkward beat, leaned over to hold the kitten in his gloved hands. The poor thing licked his fingers, its eyes not even opened yet.
“… I’ll name this one Roz,” he said, smile turning smug. Harold sank into the couch at the sound of that name.
The Narrator pet the kitten delicately. “Yes, I think it fits pretty well, doesn’t it?”
He then vanished, cat and all.
How did Vernon die?
“On the 13th floor.”

Was violence a big part of their childhood?
“I was given oxycodone to prevent that.”
What’s the worst situation they’ve ended up in before, due to violence?
Anderson appears out-of-focus, both mentally and physically.
“There was a child...” He sounds unsure of this. “She liked me, for a while. I was supposed to find her. Her yellow raincoat makes it easy to find her, but I pull her arm and I hear it snap, and she’s crying.”
He clenches his fists, as if he’s holding the child right in front of him, shaking her. His knuckles are white as his anger broils.
“And she’s an ugly crier. I shake her. I shake her and I call her a quitter. She’s calling for her father, but I have to put my arm around her face to keep Vern from hearing. I haven’t checked the closet ever since I put her in there.”
