“You know, at the Trancy estate, it’s bad luck to squash spiders; our family crest utilizes one, and our lands are something of a sanctuary for the little things.” Alois hummed, content to babble on as long as he was allowed. “Do you have a favorite spider, my lady?”

𝑹𝑼𝑩𝒀 𝑻𝑨𝑷𝑷𝑬𝑫 𝑯𝑬𝑹 𝑵𝑨𝑰𝑳𝑺 𝑶𝑵 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑳𝑶𝑾 𝑾𝑨𝑳𝑳 of the balcony overlooking the grounds. Indeed there was something strange in the air of the Trancy estate, but she couldn't put her finger on it. Certainly it wasn't the number of spiders, though a glance to the side showed a small orb weaver sitting primly in its web.
"I can't rightly say I do," she answered honestly. "I'm afraid zoology of any sort is out of my usual purview." Alois, however, seemed eager enough to tell her any number of tings about his family land. "Though I'm sure you only asked out of politeness. Go on then, my dear, tell me yours."
