Quentin heard the reinforced doors open with their usual loud thud and it drew his attention to the entrance to see who it was that had come to bug him down in what most agents seemed to call ‘the dungeon’. His hand was still holding the screwdriver before he looked back to his work and continued, his desk an utter mess as usual. Littered with half drank cups of tea, cans of energy drinks, blueprints for new items he was working on, his laptop open in front of him, and various pieces for the newest gadget scattered. “Galahad.” He muttered the singular word greeting before he set his screwdriver down to reach for another part. “To what do I owe the pleasure?”

He grinned, for lack of a better thing to do. Pellinore can taste blood on his lips, dripping in warm lines from the gash on his temple. The smell of it made him cough. His glasses were destroyed by these people who seem to know how to aim. Or he was that good at dodging. Either way he wasn’t going to put things to a second test and Merlin had to do something about protective headgears post-haste.
“I’m fine--have you got it?” he said then, gesturing at the younger man with the mission. “We have to get out of here quickly.”
"leave me alone, but just don’t leave me here, alright?"

“She wasn’t? I’m pretty handy with a sword, you know.”
“—well. Her loss.”
