it’s almost like jei knows what chungha is going to say before she says it.  bitch, i told you.  it’s hard for jei to wrap her head around the fact that this is something that actually happened.  it’s even more of a shock that she even took the pen in her hand to sign her life away to trc for two whole years.  maybe jei’s more depressed than she first thought, or maybe the lack of care in her lately is really becoming a problem.

that’s not something she’ll tell chungha about, though.  it’s better if she just stays quiet.

“ chungha.”  her voice is flat when jei tries to get her friend’s attention.  it’s the first time they’ve been able to meet up in awhile, and this is already going to be hard enough to admit as it is.  that chungha was right about trc  -  that she’s been right all along, ever since that scout months ago tried to pick her up off the street.  the paper of the flier doesn’t even make a sound when she pushes it at her across the table.  “ i don’t know if you want it, but ..”  it is what it is.
