Rio scoffed lightly at the woman’s words. It wasn’t his problem — not anymore. “Your husband has wealth. He is somewhere in Mercia, is he not?” Rio chuckled a little, gesturing for his fellow thieves to go through the house and look for valuables. He drew his sword, holding it up high. “He should be more careful about leaving you unattended with no guards. Don’t worry; I’m not going to hurt you. All I want is your silver.”

Aksel had been watching the King pace back and forth for so long now he'd lost track of time. When they were joined by somebody else he knew to keep his lips sealed unless he had something important to interject with, but when alone his lips became a little looser. The lines between them were starting to blur and slowly Aksel found himself speaking when perhaps he shouldn't, it was not that he did not respect Lachlan, he held the upmost respect for him, but he was not just King, not to him.

" Then stop thinking. " He spoke plainly as he stood from his seat and walked towards the other man. " It is late, nothing will happen until the morning and I am sure you will wake before everybody else since you seem to lay awake most of the night. " As he speaks a small smile rests on his lips and his touch is confident when he reaches out to take him by the hips so he couldn't continue to pace or walk away from him. " You know I am very good at helping you clear your mind. "
