Michael didn’t often ask Crowley to assist her with preening. After all, Michael most often came down to see him when she'd already over-preened herself (and all their other siblings). And, really, with his lack of regular practice, he wasn’t all that good at it. Still, the touch of her sibling was always welcome, at least in this context, and when he took it upon himself to touch her, she only spread her wing out welcomingly in response and glanced over her shoulder at him.
