do you have an VA/audio boyfriend recs? Ever since badhjur passed i've been battling if it's morally okay to continue to listen to him (and i haven't heard anyone else say they're still listening to him)... i'm not on reddit so idk where else to look :(

I don’t think it’s morally wrong— Obviously I don’t know for sure, but he seemed to enjoy what he made and I don’t think he’d want people to stop enjoying it after he was gone. They seemed to imply his passing was somewhat expected— I think if he hadn’t wanted his content to be accessible after his passing he would’ve prepared for that beforehand and either taken it down or left instructions for that to be done immediately. However I do find it distracting and strange. His audios just sort of remind me of the real world now.

Anyways, I do have recs. You can look at my VA recs tag for some of those, but I’ll post a couple here too. If you like erotic audio, I would really recommend joining Reddit.

Feem-Al-Frennly — does a lot of collabs. If you’re into German guys, give him a listen. He doesn’t have a heavy accent, but he is German and will sometimes speak it depending on the audio.

Unfortunately, I haven’t really heard that many good soaps out there. We all know badjhur, and he does a serviceable soap, but we all know ghost is his real star player. Also, I’m not sure if he’s done a solo for Soap— but I find it hard to get immersed in the idea that they’re two separate people when he does audio with soap and ghost together 😭

I have heard some Scottish VAs that are nice, but do not sound like soap. They sound much more like Nilesy, generally. Haven’t even found one that sounds like Ravs! It’s a tough world out there.

Typically the VAs I’ve heard, not just in Scottish accents but in general, don’t have much grit to their voices, and it’s hard to find very deep voices as well.
