Vactionland RV Park & Family Campground
(Campground #5 on our journey to camp at all PEI campgrounds!)
A last minute decision to go camping for one night led us to campground #5, Vactionland in Brackley, PEI!
I arrived with my two kids; Carter & Cohen (who are now 9 & 2) around 12pm, which is the check in time there! (The early check in time was great especially since we were only staying one night!) Our camping friends arrived with her two children who are now 10 & 8 (boy & girl) shortly after us!
It didn’t seem to take to long to set up this time, I think I’m getting better & quicker at it! 😎 We actually had a few minutes to relax for a bit before we decided to go to the pool!
We went to the pool late afternoon, the pool was pretty busy but so warm! So I actually enjoy it too! 😉! At first my 2 year old Cohen didn’t want to go in at all but once he got in he didn’t want to get out!
After our swim we went back to our campsite to change and have a little supper! Hot dogs & chicken are always a great camping supper!
After supper we went for a walk around the campground and it is pretty big! However the cars did drive slow and were all very cautious though there didn’t seem to be much traffic anyways; which was nice! We also ran into a lot of people that we knew there which was surprising!
We found a couple parks on our way and stopped at one for Cohen to play at, however the one we went to wasn’t very suitable for him but my friends 10 year old daughter found him a broken piece of slide and he played on that and loved it!
We found a few more friends on our way back who came and joined us for a campfire for a little while before they left!
They were playing a movie outside and the kids wanted to see it, it was pretty cute playing on the wall of a building but we didn’t last long because the mosquitos were unbearable at that point so we walked back up to our site and went to bed for the night!
The next morning we packed up pretty early but stuck around for a last swim and to get anything else in the kids wanted to do! They really seemed to enjoy riding there bikes around everywhere!
I found that the bugs were really bad here, my tent just fit at the site (thankfully we were going next door to the neighbors site for a campfire!) and the store didn’t sell coffee 😢! I did like that this campground had a pool and the movie night idea was cute and of course the company we were with!
I would camp here again as long as I’m still tenting (the campers seemed way to close together for my liking) but it was definitely better then other campgrounds that I have been too!
My 9 year old Carter said his favourite thing about this campground is the pool & the parks!
If I were to make a guess about what my 2 year old Cohens favourite part was I would guess the pool & getting pushed around on his bike all weekend!
