who: open to all (CAPPED!)
where: the shore ⛈
In the two and a half decades that Vada had lived in Portum, she hadn't seen a change in the weather so drastic. The former pirate depended on the certain predictability of this town — something her life had clearly been lacking prior to her arrival. The torrential downpour reminded her of storms on the high seas, a rush to captain a ship to safety. The corners of her lips lifted and she tilted her head back towards the skies with no fear of the rain as she thought back on those days with a fondness. But as thrilling as that life had been, she knew she would never do it again if it meant losing what she had now.
She was rain soaked. But she didn't mind. Her house was close to the shore. Soon enough, she would be warm and dry with a cup of hot tea in her hand. Or gin. Whichever struck the mood. Vada glanced across the waters now, watching as the rain was brought to an unexpected halt, replaced by a quickening fog. Vada knew storms better than anyone else. But this, she knew was... unnatural. She spotted a shadow of a figure on the docks, stepping down from her boat now. "You really shouldn't be out here. The fog...there's something wrong."
