              He reaches almost accidentally and grabs the other's hand, it's become a comfort in finding his touch! The operation on it's own was risky not only in betraying the Future Foundation --- but in dealing with the Remnants of Despair ! It wasn't going as well as planned and he's immensly worried but he knows ( hopes ) that things will be okay.
