He seemed a bit nervous by it all, her visiting his room after classes were over for the day and presenting him with honmei-choco as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Perhaps Kaiser assumed she'd forgotten, as most girls made somewhat of a production of presenting honmei-choco to their significant others or crushes, declaring to the world precisely how they felt about them. But Sonia had wanted more of a private display of affection, if only for the questionable chocolates alone.
"Why not enjoy both sets of chocolate?" She beamed, before standing up on her toes, a necessity in her flat school-approved loafers, in order to place a small peck on his lips. Behind the door in this world entirely of their own fabrication, they were simply two people in love: the titles of princess and thief all but forgotten. "That's the benefit of celebrating the holiday in two different ways: more gifts to be shared. And who would turn down an excess of chocolate? As far as I'm concerned, there can't be too much of it today." Even if they happened to eat so much candy they got sick, it would still all be worth it. Different classes and busy schedules meant that Sonia had barely even seen Kaiser that day, much less had a chance to even wish him a Happy Valentine's Day. Not that anyone else seemed to mind: after word had gotten out that they were seeing each other, the majority of their classmates couldn't even understand how they tolerated one another, much less cared for each other.
Setting her school bag down on a chair in his room, she hadn't had to wait long for his suggestion of how to spend the rest of the day. A smile spread across her face as eagerly clasped her hands together, already thinking of possibilities. "A movie? I'd like that very much! What did you have in mind, perhaps something appropriate for the day? We could perhaps have food delivered too, if the prospect of visiting the cafeteria on Valentine's Day doesn't suit us."
After all, they couldn't live on chocolate, fruit, and wine alone, despite Sonia herself attempting such a thing two years prior to the day. But as he continued, it seemed as if he had an appetite for something, or someone, else, beyond dinner. Eyes widening as a light pink blush grew hot on her cheeks, she wasn't sure if there was any truth to his suggestions regarding that particular food combination but its meaning hadn't been lost on her.
