I just want to say seeing the the Valencia players walking off the pitch today with Diakhaby (in solidarity) after he was racially abused by a player from the other team was truly heartwarming. They immediately believed him. Didn't hesitate to have his back and kept him away from the racist, refusing to continue to play because Diakhaby had been racially abused and they wouldn't stand for it.

The manager and the staff also walking off without a question actually made me tear up. The football federation rarely does anything to combat racism, so seeing the players taking it into their own hands, seeing them fight and stand by their fellow teammate and refusing to play on, refusing to ignore his pain, that, that is how you make a difference. Good on you Valencia. Good on you.

Also fuck Juan Cala, he knows exactly what he did. Look at him covering his mouth and how non of his own teammates support him. You can immediately see how he regrets saying it after the backlash. I hope it gets through his thick head how unacceptable and disgusting racism is now. Fuck him. Diakhaby didn't deserve that. No one deserves that.

Racism isn't and will never be an acceptable insult to throw around.
