based on when @frostcorpsclub dropped the hardest quote ever:
"Jules, the only person who says Jason's name without a hint of fear or mystery. The word rolls around his mouth like his favorite piece of candy, he knows all of its curves but the flavor never gets old."
The dynamic between a random victim screaming out jason's name in terror versus jules excited to see his boyfriend was just too much of a fun concept to not draw.
What habits did Pamela have that passed down to Jason (besides the big glaring obvious one 🤣)
Big obvious one aside, here are some habits I think he has from his momma <3
Cooking is a big one! Pamela was literally the cook at Camp Crystal Lake, so he got to watch her make all kinds of things! I'd imagine she loved to show her baby boy how to cook and she adored giving him things he could help with (even if that was just the very important task of licking batter off of the spatula!) Jason doesn't need to eat, but once Jules comes into his life he likes getting to cook for him and also takes on another habit from his mom- fretting over others meals. He always makes sure Jules has snacks before he goes out to paint and that he's eaten something!
Pamela also took manners and tidiness very seriously. Making your bed every day was not an optional task- it was necessary. Jason doesn't have a need to sleep, but when he does, he always makes his bed afterwards.
I think Pamela would like music a lot- it was a nice escape from her shithead husband and just generally could brighten a gloomy day. I imagine she sun a lot, especially around Jason when he grew up! Obviously he can't speak or sing to reflect that, but when she realized how desperately her perfect boy wanted to join in her song, she taught him to tap along with the music- fingers, feet, whatever! That's absolutely something he does still, even with Jules's very different taste in music.
Since Pamela was the only person in Jason's life to care for him so wholly, I think most of his personality and habits came from her anyway, but those are just some specific ones.
How would Jason feel about Jules swimming in the lake?
Very Nervous
Watches him like a hawk to make sure he is okay and that nothing goes wrong. Then jules comes out of the water and Jason just whisks him back to the cabin to keep him from going back in lmao
he won't force him to stop most of the time but he'll definitely discourage it.
stupid headcanon: jules assumed for years that jason could actually play hockey and it doesnt come up that he can't until theyve been together for like 6 years
canon!!!
oops drabble time >:3c
It was Jules' first winter up at Camp Crystal Lake, he honestly had no idea what to expect. Jason was a bit more relaxed now, he'd stated that less people came up this way once the snow began, so he had less to worry about. It was nice, they could spend the days snuggling by the fireplace, Jules making art as usual while Jason did... Whatever Jason did. Typically that was whittling away little wooden figures or just observing Jules while he worked. He truly was in love with this man. It made Jason almost loathe the other seasons when kids came up to mess around in the abandoned campsite. It made less time for him to enjoy this peace.
In late December they had their first snowfall. Jules came out of the cabin wrapped in scarves and a hat, swaddled from head to toe by his fretting boyfriend. Jason couldn't be bothered by the cold, however, Jules could. He wasn't going to let the man get sick!
Jules walked awkardly, the multiple layers of shirts making it hard for him to even put his hands down, so he waddled around in the snow. Snowflakes clung to his lashes and hair and the man felt nothing but peace. Suddenly, he had a realization, spinning as fast as he could in his swaddled state to face Jason. The masked man, who was locking up the cabin behind himself, turned to see Jules looking at him expectantly.
"Yes?" He signed.
"Does this mean you're gonna show me how to play hockey?" Jules grinned, though it was only evident in his voice as his mouth was wrapped with a scarf.
Jason blinked, tilting his head. "I don't think I've ever played hockey. I don't know how to teach you."
It was Jules' turn to tilt his head, he frowned. "But... The goalie mask.. I figured you played hockey n' that was why you wear that?" He was confused.
It took a long moment for the dots to connect in Jason's head before he nodded. "I see. It is what I found in the supply shed."
Jules was quiet a long moment, staring at his boyfriend.
What's Jason's reply to Jules asking if he'd still love him if he was a worm
Jason would first be perplexed by the question itself. How would he possibly become a worm? how would Jules be able to communicate that it was him? He'd ask a lot of little details and Jules would just keep saying to not worry about it and answer the question!
Eventually, with the added details that Jules could still communicate in some way and would be able to tell Jason it was him that was the worm, Jason would say yes.
Jules loves him no matter how gruesome his appearance is, so why would something silly like that stop him from returning the sentiment? Though he'd be afraid of squishing him.
