Oikawa’s footsteps were almost completely silent as he snuck up on Iwaizumi, who was engrossed in studying something in his literature textbook. A smile spread over the captain’s face as he got into position, like a cat ready to pounce – and then he made his move.“Boo!” he yelled as his hands shot forward to tickle Iwaizumi right under the ribs. His face fell almost immediately, though, when Iwaizumi deflected the blows without even looking up from his book. Oikawa’s lips twisted into a pout. “No fair! How did you know I was there?”“You’re always there,” Iwaizumi replied absentmindedly. “You’ve been there, constantly, my entire life. I’d be more surprised if you weren’t trying to annoy me,” he grumbled, his eyes still scanning the text.He grunted a moment later when Oikawa threw his arms around his neck in a firm hug. “Iwa-chan, that’s so sentimental!” he laughed, his eyes sparkling with warmth. “Don’t worry, I’ll always be here to make everything better.”“Get off me,” Iwaizumi said with no real malice. His shove was weak and completely ineffectual, and as Oikawa nuzzled against his neck, a small smile curved at the corners of the vice captain’s lips.
bokuaka- 21 please <3
Lightning flickered across the sky, quickly followed by a crack of deafening thunder as Akaashi and Bokuto ran from the gym. Dark clouds hung above the city with an ominous gloom, and Akaashi knew they had no hope of getting home before the rain started coming down.
He felt the first cold drop of water land right on the tip of his nose, and cursed inwardly. His house was closer, but even at a full sprint it’d probably take them another five minutes to get there, and they were both exhausted from Bokuto’s extra spiking practice.More rain began to fall from the heavens, and within moments the light drizzle had grown noticeably heavier. Beside him, Bokuto slowed his pace to a leisurely walk, and as Akaashi glanced at him in confusion, the captain stopped entirely.
“What are you doing?” Akaashi asked, exhaustion creeping into his voice.
Bokuto closed his eyes and tilted his head up towards the sky with a smile. “Just enjoying the moment, I guess! It’s not so bad, right, Akaashi?”
“We’re in the middle of a thunderstorm, and you want to stop and feel the rain?” Akaashi sighed. “You’re going to catch a cold, Bokuto-san. We need to keep moving, even if we’re already wet.”
Bokuto’s smile grew larger, and Akaashi gave him a perplexed look. “Yeah, I guess it’s not good we got caught in the rain.” There was something quiet in his eyes, a reserved happiness that Akaashi had been glimpsing more and more often lately. “Last time, I was so mad when it happened! You weren’t with me then, so it totally sucked.”
“Are you saying it doesn’t suck because I’m with you?”
“Yep!” Bokuto grinned. “Everything’s better with you, Akaashi. Even the bad stuff. And really, now that I think about it, the rain’s not all that terrible anyway.”
Akaashi felt his cheeks begin to burn under the chilly air as he grabbed at Bokuto’s hand. “That’s great,” he mumbled, “but we need to get inside before one of us gets sick.”
Bokuto smiled, and twined their fingers together as they began to walk, their pace much more leisurely than it had been before.
