Tonight's drawing really isn't that good. I rushed it cause I'm very tired and have a headache. Icarus immediately has me thinking of wings and wing whump, but after trying to draw Valkuil four times for more dynamic scenarios, I could only do this, which is just his wings without feathers. How they got that way, I don't know, but he's for sure self conscious.
I have two daydream scenarios for him that have feathers flying off in a sort of icarus way. The first is when flying with the group during the beginnings of a storm, he's struck by a bolt of lightning, and then cascades toward the ground. The second is during a race. Since his wings are a mix of falcon and owl, they're capable at traveling at high speeds, but struggle to control themselves when doing so. He can fly on a straight line, but any attempt at a turn or adjustment could be too much for his wings, and rip feathers off.
