“What exactly is wrong with it?” She did not know too muhc about Asgardian history, really. That had always more been Thor’s thing, as far as the warrior was aware. Even after living for a while there herself after Thanos had used the Stones to wipe of half of the universe’ population.

“Like, everyone seems to be always searching for trouble. Look at them the wrong way, and they already want to start a fight with you....”

.｡.:*☆ “Who would have expected we both end up being stuck in this place....” Val sighed when she spotted Thor in the distance. This really did not go as planned. Not at all. Not that she did have any control over it from the beginning.

“I thought you wanted to travel with this Star Lord. Find out what you want in life, and all that.” Arching a brow, Val eyed the God of Thunder. He looked good, sure. But, she was still suspicious. “Do not tell my Midgard in the 1920′s had been the solution for your problems....”

.｡.:*☆ "You see, I gave him a fair warning before I kicked him," Val mused with a shrug. Watching the man who'd been bothering her now wobbling out of the bar with the help of his two buddies.

"Some just refuse to take no for an answer, and then things have to get physical. It seems to be the only language some of these guys are actually speaking." Another shrug as Val looked at Tamar, smikring a little now.

"Anyway, seeing the idiot did spill your drink when I punched him, would you allow to buy you a new one, at least?"

.｡.:*☆ "You know, can't say my knowledge about the past of Midgard is very expended," Val pointed out while taking a sip from her bottle. The old habit of drinking had found it's way back into her life. Mostly of all the madness she had to deal with day after day after day. And no chance to maybe get away from it, either. And that it seemed like she could not really count on Thor to help her with it.

"But I am pretty sure you won't find anything anywhere about people suddenly gaining abilities. Not out of thin air, at least. So, what is this here? And why exactly are they doing this to all of us?"

.｡.:*☆ "Well, the thing is," Val started, looking at the half empty bottle in front of herself. She should really stop this, and she knew it. She was a queen now, after all. Or, well.... had been, at least. Before all this mess had happened to her.

"The thing is, even when he would never admit it, my friend is sort of fragile. And he does not take it well when he does not have full control over something either. Or, can not change a situation, even when wanting to." That was something Thor and Val had certainly in common. And they also had both similar destructive ways to deal with it, sadly.

"He might feel betrayed if I do not tell him, you know? And for some like Thor, that might even be worse than not knowing the truth. Of course, I am not him, I cant' know for one-hundred percent. But I also would not want him to have a huge breakdown because of all of it, either."

.｡.:*☆ "If you ask me, history repeats itself because people do never learn from their mistakes." And yes, Val was guilty of that, as well. It had seemed to easy to fall back into old patterns since waking up in Sydney. To give in to habits that were certainly not healthy for her.

"As for the theories, are you up to share them, maybe?" Val was curious now, that much was for sure. "Like, no, I certainly can not help you with your memories - expect to smack your head, maybe. But, if they are good theories, they still could be helpful nonetheless?"

.｡.:*☆ “And? Did you enjoy the fight?” Maybe Val should not be that proud of herself. But, for the first time in a while, her opponent had not been holding back because she was a woman. And yet, it had been hwe who won the fight.

“Also, the lip does look worse than it feels.” It was already slightly swollen at this point. “A good drink, and I will be as good as new. Mean, some alcohol is always good when handling a little wound, right?”

Val had not only promised herself to not start drinking again. but that was before she had been losing her job as Queen of Asgard, and instead landing in a city on Earth she didn’t even had wanting to go to, to begin with. Not to mention, old habits were hard to break with, sometimes. Especially when there was no one to look after you, like Thor had done it during the beginning of their friendship.
