Insomniac, will defo wake up in the middle of night and not manage to fall back asleep, usually gets out to dig up some more corpses because he's so fed up with tossing and turning
quite a good part of his anger issues are due to lack of proper sleep, if he was medicated he'd be more chill (but not much nicer lol)
angry type of depressed, the type that goes ''Commit suicide? Me? No, YOU kys!!!"
it took years for him to trust people after his banishment from clover kingdom, he's still wary of others, so when Patri betrayed everyone he lost the last bit of trust he ever had. Realizing that his past trauma was used to manipulate and then discard him hurt much more than just his ego. He really thought he had found someone who did not look down on him for his magic and his status as a commoner
thank god for sally and valtos bc i fear he would have killed himself if he had been alone again, instead he ''only'' got abandonment anxiety, during the first months of their sentence he'd randomly have panic attacks and try to self sabotage by isolating himself; valtos recognized the unhealthy patterns but didn't know how to help him since he absolutely refuses therapy or compassion ("therapy is for the weak" and he mistakes compassion for pity, someone save him from his ego i beg) turns out the solution was setting Sally loose on him, she just forces him to be her lab assistant and bullies him as a distraction (under Makusa's supervision)

She really likes alternative fashion! Her favorite are Gothic Lolita, RomGoth and visual Kei! She'd rather see people wear those styles than wear it herself though, as cute clothes are often not designed with comfort in mind 😩 (sometimes she considers getting a girlfriend so she'd get to play dress up...let her play Infinity Nikki!!!)
She's the youngest member of Midnight Eye and gets free passes from everyone bc of that lol Rhya especially, big brother instincts kick in and he can't help himself covering for her when she gets in trouble
She feeds the racoons. They hail her as their trash queen and regularly bring her offerings. She's delighted at her army of racoons (this is abnormal, these racoons are magic...probably)
her favorite animals are axolotl and slugs. I feel like she used to see other kids at the orphanage put salt on slugs and she kind of felt bad? Ever since then she started hyperfixating on them, Sally truly appreciates how diverse they are, from different colors to different forms, without forgetting their potential toxicity(that's only if you eat them raw tho)! she raised a few of them in a special tank :) Unfortunately they do not live long :(
during her community work sentence she often mourned the loss or her pets, she hopes they managed to get out of their tank

Everyone always believes what she says because of her usual lack of filter but she'll tell you the most elaborate, stupid nonsensical lie with a straight face and you just HAVE to believe her. Rades is especially bad at telling whether she's messing with him or not, she thinks it's hilarious

Demisexual; perish the thought of hook-ups for he does not want to fuck unless he is in love. As for gender preferences, he still isn't quite sure himself since he's never had feelings for anyone yet besides Patri
He was found by Patri himself when he was homeless and suffering from severe denutrition and dehydration, he had often been the target of violence due to his homelessness and his status, he had truly lost all hope in life itself and would have probably died without the elf's assistance
what radicalized him was a mixture of seeing how others in situations that were barely more enviable than his own would brutalize him, as if they'd get out of the cycle of violence and injustice by not being at the very bottom of it. Physical injuries were not his only pain, being treated like an animal or a charity case in best scenarios made him start to dehumanize himself. Patri saved him not only by offering him a physical safe place but also by seeing him as an actual person. He had to wait until one of the last living elf in Clover found him to be saved and even he, for all his disdain for humans was horrified of the treatment the man had suffered. Unfortunately, it only fueled his anger and resentment toward humanity as a whole, not understanding that the issues laid within the flawed society and social class of the kingdom
Thus, Valtos was one of the first humans to ever join the Eye of the Midnight Sun, and he was the one that was hurt the most by Patri betrayal. He didn't need to manipulate him, He would have offered his life willingly if Patri had asked him
He suffers from depression, PTSD, severe self-esteem issues and eating disorders. Despite having access to food in the cult, he tends to starve himself because he feels like he is not deserving of a meal. But with encouragment and gentleness he will get to eating more, his eating habits also improve after leaving the cult
Despite Patri's betrayal, he does not have it in his heart to resent him, he only feels a deep sadness, to him, Patri had once been a god but he would always be his savior
absolutely EVERYONE is aware of Valtos' crush on Patri. Reaction varies from amused (Sally), disdain(Fana) and pure anguish (Rades and Rhya)
Rades keeps pushing Valtos to confess already because NO he does NOT want to hear how great Master Licht is for the THIRD TIME TODAY
Rhya feels like he is stuck in a slowburn angst-no-comfort 300k words ao3 fanfiction. He knows there is no good ending where Patri returns Valtos feelings but yeah... He kind of feel guilty for what [will] happen after the naming ritual
Sally and Rades should be at the club and Valtos should be in Uni absorbing the knowledge

His favorite genre is romance, mostly gothic and he WRITES!! He's actually pretty imaginative and talented with his plots and settings! Sally, Rhya and Vitto will often read his works. Rhya acts as a beta-reader and sally as a hype-(wo)man. Vitto never gives any kind of opinion besides a nod (he still comes back to read every new chapter)
After getting placed in Makusa's care he starts publishing his novel anonymously with the latter's help. He becomes quite the popular author !
While Valtos is only 25, his state of malnutrition makes him appear older than he actually is which has led to some awkward situation, for example : being mistaken as Sally's father.
Out of the three, he is the one that is the most popular with women! Especially older women who think he is a single dad in his late thirties, but they tend to apologize profusely and leave awkwardly when they learn his actual age. He finds it somewhat amusing but sometimes he wonders if he should dye his hair
One time another cult member asked him if he could try on some nail polish for sampling, ever since then he started painting his nails regularly (no one knows because he wears gloves though, but people are getting suspicious because he refuses to take them off no matter the situation)
