So if I buy clothes they’re pretty much always thrifted. Rarely do I buy new clothes due to the world and everything. Yesterday I went to Nanaimo and was excited for Value Village. Everyone knows their prices are out of hand but still sometimes you can find a few really great things, and if you donate a bag you get 20% off..so I still go. Well yesterday it smelled SO bad in there right when I entered the door, I stopped breathing. I did my normal rounds and didn’t find anything- like nothing! Items I would have purchased I immediately put down because just a normal unbranded shirt was upwards of $15!! The book section was very sad! I found two balls of yarn that honestly were the same price as Walmart but I liked the colours a lot so I got them..Madi was still shopping so I roamed with her but it genuinely made me so sad! I ended up finding one shirt that was like $6. But on a normal thrift run I’m spending upwards of $100 and getting so much stuff. There’s no way Value Village will last at this rate. All thrifted items should be $5 or less and tax free.
